An exclusive work by Alfredo Capozzi
"111" is an electro-acoustic - synesthetic work that sinks its hands into an artistic-sound reinterpretation of one of the most important historical events of Cetara. Through the sampling and audio manipulation of the historical bells of the Church of S. Francesco and the narrating voice of Lucio Saccone, the author tries to immerse the listener in the context that was experienced by the community of Cetara during the night of October 24, 1910. A flood, extraordinary for the geological and infrastructural conformation of the time, which caused tens, hundreds of victims. "111", therefore, is not only narration: between the lines of the musical Opera, it becomes clear the will of a farewell to the many people who perished in the event; cetaresi, ... an integral part of the identity fabric of the then fishing community.
