Amalfi® Semiconductor was established with the vision to develop a new generation of high-performance radio frequency (RF) semiconductors for the cellular handset market. Recognizing power consumption in most handsets is heavily driven by power amplifier efficiency, the company focused its advanced engineering capabilities on developing a new generation of power amplifiers that use standard, low-cost Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technology. The result of this effort is the patented Amalfi AdaptiveRF™ CMOS power amplifier architecture, which offers significant performance, cost and integration advantages over today’s power amplifiers based on Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) or Indium Gallium Phosphate (InGaP) process technology. Amalfi believes that its advanced technology has the ability to drive a revolutionary change in the design and performance of cellular handsets.
